Timothy N. Green
President - Joined the Board in 2015
Mr. Green has been the Executive Director of Harry E. Sheldon Calvary Camp, Inc. for the past twenty years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After serving as a Residence Hall and Student Activities Director for colleges in Kansas and Colorado, he returned home to Ashtabula County. He assumed a teaching and coaching position with Edgewood Senior High School, eventually running Calvary Camp full-time. Mr. Green completed a six-year term on the National Board of Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers and locally serves as the President Pro Tem of the Village of North Kingsville Council and on the Board of Directors for Conneaut Savings Bank. Mr. Green enjoys fly fishing, metal detecting, and supporting youth programs in his spare time, and he resides in North Kingsville, Ohio.
Lynn M. Zalewski
Vice President - Joined the Board in 2020
Mrs. Zalewski is the retired Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Ashtabula County, where she was employed for over twenty-two years. Prior to her work in the human service field, she was a Buyer at Carlisle Retailer’s, Inc., for sixteen years. Mrs. Zalewski is a Kent State University graduate, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. She also holds a Master's of Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver. She currently sits on the Community Counseling Center and the Ashtabula County Senior Levy Advisory Board boards. Lynn and her husband, Jim, are residents of Saybrook Township.
J. Trombley (J.T.) Kanicki, M.B.A
Treasurer - Joined the Board in 2020
Mr. Kanicki is the president and co-owner of The Arthur Louis Steel Company, which has two manufacturing locations in Ashtabula County. He served the organization for over 30 years and was appointed President in 2003. Mr. Kanicki received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo in 1990, where he graduated with honors. In addition, he earned a postgraduate master’s degree in Business Administration from Lake Erie College in 1994. Mr. Kanicki has long supported youth and high school sports throughout Ashtabula County and has served on boards of multiple organizations. He enjoys reading, traveling, playing golf, and spending quality time with his family. J.T. and his wife, Shirley, have three children and reside in Kingsville, Ohio.
Michelle R. McClure
Secretary - Joined the Board in 2021
Mrs. McClure is an Assistant Vice President and Associate Relationship Manager with the Key Private Bank. Her banking career of 25+ years has included Loss Prevention, Credit Analysis, Retail Branch Management, and Wealth Management. She has been a part of the KeyBank team since 2014, where she has earned recognition as a member of the President’s Club and Cleveland Market Collaborator of the Year. She is licensed in the State of Ohio for Accident and Health, Life, and Variable insurance and holds her securities licenses Series 6 and 63. Mrs. McClure earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Toledo in 1994. In addition to the Ashtabula Foundation, she is committed to her community. She dedicates volunteer hours to many worthwhile organizations, such as LEADERship Ashtabula County (Graduate ‘16) and the Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County. Mrs. McClure is an Our Lady of Peace Parish member and resides in the City of Ashtabula with her husband, Christopher. Mrs. McClure’s interests include studying history, winter skiing, and enjoying summer beach vacations with her husband and four children, Ella, Samuel, Hannah, and Nicholas.
Carolyn J. Turk
Joined the Board in 2014
Mrs. Turk retired from Molded Fiber Glass Companies in 2022 after 29 years of serving in various financial roles, including CFO, Controller, and Internal Auditor. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Youngstown State University. She has a long record of community service and is currently on the Middlefield Banc Corp Board. She is a St. Mary’s Church member in Orwell and has been a lifetime resident of Ashtabula County. Carolyn and her husband, Ralph, reside in Orwell and have two sons, Jeremy and Justin, and three grandchildren, Carter, Cloe, and Rocco.
Roger A. Corlett, CPA
Emeritus - Joined the Board in 2003
Mr. Corlett served as the Ashtabula County Auditor for twelve (12) years and has been a CPA since 1980. Prior to his seat with the county, he held positions at S.R. Snodgrass, AC, for thirty-two (32) years. At Snodgrass, he rose to the level of Vice President and was the officer in charge of the audit division, serving many tax clients.
Roger attended Kent State University, Ashtabula, and Cleveland State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He has served on the boards of many nonprofit organizations for over 45 years. He and his wife, Shirley, reside in North Kingsville, Ohio.
Jerome R. Brockway, Ph. D.
Joined the Board in 1991
Dr. Brockway’s career was spent in the field of education for fifty-three (53) years before retiring in 2020. Dr. Brockway, during his career, had served as the Superintendent/CEO of the Ashtabula County Technical & Career Center, the Superintendent/CEO of the Ashtabula County Schools, and the Superintendent/CEO of the Gallia-Jackson-Vinton Technical & Career School District.
He attended Union College, Barbourville, Ky. He obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education Degrees from Bowling Green State University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from The Ohio State University. Dr. Brockway has been recognized with awards from the Ohio General Assembly (five separate times), Kent State University, Ohio School Boards Association, Buckeye Association of School Administrators, Ohio Association of Career Education Association, Ashtabula County Growth Partnership, Ashtabula County Commissioners, State of Ohio Treasurer, Robert Sprague, and Governors George V. Voinovich and Ted Strickland. Dr. Brockway serves on numerous national, state, regional, and local educational and community boards. He is a published author of several referenced national and international articles. He and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Jefferson, Ohio.
Cheryle J. Chiaramonte
Joined the Board in 2004
Ms. Chiaramonte’s has held an array of positions throughout her 42 years in healthcare prior to her retirement in 2011. After beginning in Radiology, she served as Director of Human Resources. She then moved to administration as Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services, and ended her career at Seeds Orthopedics.
Cheryle's interests include researching genealogy, traveling in the U.S. and abroad, and reading with the Trinity Book Club.
In 2024, Cheryle received the Community Service Award from Kent State University, Ashtabula for her service to the community. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; the Jefferson Historical Society and Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Cheryle has been a member of the Ashtabula Foundation board for over 20 years, serving as President for three. As a proud 6th generation native to Ashtabula County, she has committed decades to helping nonprofits enhance the lives of those who live here.
G. Richard Coblitz
Joined the Board in 1997
Mr. Coblitz is President and owner of A. Louis Supply Co. and MDR Corp., both of Ashtabula. He serves on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations. A lifelong resident of Ashtabula, Mr. Coblitz graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1976. He and his wife, Linda, are lifelong residents of Ashtabula.
Joseph A. Misinec, Jr.
Joined the Board in 2012
Mr. Misinec is a Jeffersonian farm boy who attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He has held various instructional, technical, managerial, and executive positions at companies in our area. Mr. Misinec retired from Grand River Rubber and Plastics Co. in 2015, a 100% employee-owned Employee Stock Ownership Plan company, where he is currently on the Board of Directors. He is also on the Executive Chamber Board of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and is a member of several other professional and social organizations. Joe and his wife Carol, who has passed on, are proud parents of JR & Jodi, who have blessed them with five grandchildren.
Glen W. Warner
Joined the Board in 1987
Mr. Warner worked in Corporate sales/marketing for Molded Fiber Glass Companies for thirty-eight years and is also an ordained minister serving numerous churches. His special interests are fundraising and envisioning strategies to develop community assets. Mr. Warner chaired the Ashtabula Foundation’s 2nd Century Campaign, 2017-2022.
Roy H. Bean
Emeritus - Joined the Board in 1988
Mr. Bean graduated from Ohio Northern University with a dual degree in Business Administration and Business Education. He also graduated from the University of Wisconsin in the Graduate School of Banking and Finance. He was a high school teacher at Ashtabula Area City Schools for five years and worked as a banker for thirty-one years. Mr. Bean retired in 2000 as Vice President and Regional Manager of Bank One (now Chase). He continued to work part-time as a Certified Business Advisor for Lake County Economic Development Center. Youngstown State University also employed him as a certified business advisor and an instructor for special business classes. He retired from YSU in 2012. His family is foremost in his retirement, and enjoys watching his four grandchildren grow up.
Mark Astorino
Joined the Board in 2024.
Mark Astorino currently serves as the CFO/Treasurer and Director of Business Operations for the Ashtabula Area City School District. With more than 30 years of progressively responsible experience directing teams of domestic and global employees, Mark has spent 20 years as a chief financial officer in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, restaurants, nonprofits, and schools. In 2014, Mark was named CFO of the Year by Crain’s Cleveland Business for Medium and Private Companies.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lake Erie College and a Master of Nonprofit Management degree from Regis Jesuit University.
Mark is a graduate of Leadership Ashtabula County and very engaged in the community serving on numerous boards including Community First Credit Union, Ashtabula Metropolitan Housing Authority, St. John School, and the Ashtabula Area College Committee. Mark is an active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.
