Grant Opportunities
The Ashtabula Foundation is a private foundation that grants funds to non-profit, charitable organizations within Ashtabula County. To qualify for a grant, an organization must have a 501(C)(3) determination from the Internal Revenue Service and must be located in or serve the citizens of Ashtabula County.
In keeping with its mission to serve people in need, the Board will focus its grantmaking in the Human Services category. The remaining category requests will be considered based on the amount of funds available, the criteria for the category, and the impact the grant may have on its recipients and the greater community.
Applications are limited to one request per organization per year for $5,000 or less or $5,001 and above. Multiple projects within the application will not be considered. Applications for $5,000 and above are considered during three grant cycles, as listed below:

GRANT $5,000 OR LESS
The Foundation accepts requests for grants in all categories listed above in the amount of $5,000 or less from January 1, 2024, through November 15, 2024. The requests are reviewed by a committee, and a decision is rendered in a timely manner.
GRANTS $3,000 OR LESS for Youth Enrichment purposes are also considered during this time frame. Youth Enrichment grant funds go to support and guide youth (ages 6-18) with ongoing initiatives and programs that inspire personal development, leadership, educational interests, explore occupational career paths, and the general well-being of our youth living in Ashtabula County.
